Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 May 2026
This privacy policy explains how aistrategyforsalesteams.com ("the site," "we," "us") handles personal data when you interact with it. The site relates to the book AI Strategy for Sales Teams (Kogan Page, 2026) by Andrew Hough, Richard Vincent and Richard Brooks, and the forthcoming AI in Sales Diagnostic.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Richard Brooks (contact: R.Brooks@cranfield.ac.uk) is the data controller for personal information collected through this site.
2. What data we collect
We collect only the data you give us voluntarily: primarily, the email address you provide when joining the AI in Sales Diagnostic waitlist. We may also collect aggregate, anonymous analytics about page visits (for example, country and device type) to understand how the site is used.
3. Why we collect it and our lawful basis
We process your email address on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) when you join the waitlist. We use it to:
- Confirm your subscription to the waitlist.
- Send you updates about the AI in Sales Diagnostic, including launch timing and your early-access invitation.
- Occasionally share related content connected to the book and its themes.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing us directly.
4. Who we share data with
We use third-party processors to deliver the site and communicate with you:
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit), our email service provider, storing your email address and managing subscription preferences. Kit's privacy policy.
- Our hosting provider (Netlify or Cloudflare Pages), which processes basic technical request data needed to serve the site.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
5. International transfers
Kit and our hosting providers are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK-US Data Bridge) to protect it.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the waitlist. If you unsubscribe, we remove your active subscription. We may retain a suppression record so we don't accidentally email you again.
7. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, object to processing, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email R.Brooks@cranfield.ac.uk.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.
8. Cookies and analytics
The site uses only essential cookies needed for the site to function. If we add analytics or advertising cookies in future, we will update this policy and present a cookie banner asking for your consent first.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page tells you when the most recent version took effect.
